Need to do some aggressive surface prep? Concrete scarifer is also called concrete planer. JIEHE Scarifier series of heavy-duty, self-propelled drum scarifiers are designed to tackle the most demanding removal and surface preparation jobs. These scarifiers are ideal for flooring and pavement applications such as:
Leveling concrete floors and asphalt
Removing epoxy coatings
Removing trip hazards on sidewalks
Creating sidewalk grooves and removing heavy-duty overlays and hard industrial coatings.
How to use concrete scarifier machine?
Practice operating the machine before you start working according to the insturctor.
Learn how to set the depth control. Adjusting the removal depth easily with the handle wheel. Make multiple passes if necessary.
If you need to remove more than one-eighth inch of material, don’t strain the machine by trying to do it in one pass. “The engine would labor, the belts would burn out and the carbide cutters would be damaged". “The worst-case scenario is the carbide cutters, spacers and shafts break loose causing a workspace hazard.
Need to change the drum set if scarify at depth 15mm per pass. Normally , to protect the machines , make the machine's service life longer, and good for bearings ,drums, and blade shafts ect. We suggest scarify at depth 5mm per pass, and work 2 or 3 times. That takes almost same time to finish the job, but it is good for machines when it works in not heavy duty work.
Follow the directions in the manual for lubricating the machine, checking the belts, changing out shafts, etc. Keeping the machine in top condition will help ensure you get the production levels you want.
